Strike in Canadian ports delays MSC’s Chinook rotation change

Strike in Canadian ports delays MSCs Chinook rotation change.png

MSC announced in June that its Chinook service will have the following port rotation from the 28th week of the year:

Yantian (China) – Shanghai (China) – Qingdao (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Vancouver (Canada) – Seattle (US) – Portland (US)

However, as the strike in the West Coast Canadian ports enters the 10th day without any signals of agreement between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Canada and the British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA), MSC has decided to postpone the port rotation revision.

Consequently, and until further notice, MSC vessels operating on the Chinook service will continue sailing under the following port rotation:

Yantian – Shanghai – Qingdao – Busan – Seattle – Portland – Vancouver
